                                         A walk through Horsenick memorial park
Location: Northampton county, Pa If you’re driving on linden going towards Walmart you’d be
able to make a right onto Christian spring Rd directly in front of crystal vision continue down that road for about 800ft and make the first left. Continue down again and make you first right into the parking lot.

Time: I got to the parking lot at about 11:50 or so because I remember commenting on how precise my timing because we officially made it on the trail at exactly 12. This was also on a Wednesday, April 4th .


Observers: I was with my friend Valerie, and I actually took her there for her time ,and she fell in love with the nature and beautiful landmark. We were able to explore the historic views on the environment, an the nature park as well. The park varies in different paths into  nature that lead into rivers, tree branch teepees , and railroad tracks that if followed will lead you to monocacy park almost a mile or two away.


Habitat: As you’re walking down this path,  observing all the different birds and watching the deer run across the field, you’ll notice a well sized ,abandoned mansion out in the distance. Although the mansion looks scary, at the same time it looks beautiful because of the tall trees surrounding the home. Yet we see this white house, but to get close to the property me and Val Waited until the end. We kept walking among the path, which lead us to a forest looking cliff, overlooking the river down down below. The sun was out and it was pretty windy, but if you’re anything like me and love a good scenery, this is the spot. As you walk down the path ( because theres a slope which causes you to walk downwards) you also see a old red boat house. When you get to the bottom section you are able to walk around the river on a rocky path way. The water was so clear this day and it just makes your day a bit less stressful. You now look up and see nothing but huge trees, and birds all above you no matter at what point of the path your on.

Weather: The temperature this day was around 50 degrees and the wind was pretty strong. I mean me and Val had to walk backwards at some point because the wind started beating on us. Since we were around so many trees it made our situation a little worse. But throughout our walk the sun came out more, and it felt more like 50 degrees.



Remarks: I fall in love with this park every time I visit. I feel like once I step foot into this park I can peacefully take a deep breath and my stresses ceased to exist. I can walk and listen to the  water streaming with no interruptions and the birds chirping above me. The wind hitting the leaves and ruffling through my clothes. I feel free. Free from reality and everything that comes attached to it. I notice myself being in such a happy state of mind for the whole 30 min walk.

Comments: I call this park my happy place and every time I come here I’m able to get my thoughts out, and figure ways of becoming a better person for my well-being. I learn more about myself every time. My motivation and determination comes from my alone time.

  Day in the yard
Day of the week : Saturday
Time: 1:30 pm
Observers: It’s just me and my little sister Bianca
Habitat: We live on a busy street in south side Bethlehem right by the university, but the yard is very peaceful. You can see the squirrels and crows just roaming around the squared back yard. It’s fenced in with a old car in the middle of the yard.
Weather: It’s about 46 degrees with wind speed up to 3 miles per hour so it’s not to bad out here.
Remarks: I hardly ever sit out here but i automatically noticed how busy it seems. The neighbors came out twice already to walk their pit bulls and of course they were barking the whole time having the owners yelling on top of their lungs at them. Also the neighbor across the street has a motorcycle an has been working on it since I left for class this morning.
Comments: Sitting out here for this short amount of time I’m realizing how quickly annoyed I would get if i was trying to have a peaceful time outside. My sister keeps saying how noisy it is outside just because of the motorcycle engine and dogs barking. I’m learning that what might be noisy and non-peaceful to me could be someone else’s peaceful state of mind. While sitting out here I noticed that the people causing the noises weren’t bothered at all and could continue focusing through the rowdy surrounding.

Interview blog post

“Hello everyone “, although I haven’t met you guys personally yet , I did have the pleasure of meeting Danther Greene. This strong , Independent woman was born on December 2nd , 1992 in Brooklyn ,NY. The Sagittarius ,having only her mother and 3 siblings dealt with a lot pain over the years . She was removed by child services at the age of 5 and wasn’t back until she was 10 . Her and her mothers relationship has always been patchy ,but nothing compared to Danther and her fathers relationship . She tried her hardest to remain apart of her fathers life , but he wasn’t changing and she’s wasn’t waiting . Danther hasn’t spoken to her father in 3 years .
     
   This inspiring story made the woman she is today and stronger then she ever was . What really stunned me the most was how we both are the black sheep of our families . Through all the fire , Danther found inner peace being with her best friend Janira and sister Malika . Danther and Janira been friends for fourteen years !although she cherished her best friend , like any friend you fade and she went on to bigger and better things . She escaped and moved out to Allentown ,PA where she graduated from Dieruff High school.

    
    Adapting to her new life ,Danther also started to get a clear vision on what it was she wanted to pursue . She wants to own her own agency, and with that being said business administration  would be her major .  Along the way to new beginnings she met her wife Cashmere .From the moment them two locked eyes it was instant love .  Everything about Cashmere was just perfect to Danther ,including her loving ,home welcoming mothers . It gets better guys …Cashmere can cook her butt in the kitchen . The two eventually plan to open up their own restaurant together .

       Not everyone lives a happy life and Danther wants to make sure teens know they’re not alone . Later on in life , Danther would like to teach teens how to cope with pain and suffering. She’s wants to be almost like an icon to young folks . Danther came from a place where love was non-existent , and family was just a word . Through the good and the bad ,she managed to keep a big smile and a good heart .
